Borgo Antico

Borgo Antico is a family-run winery in the hills of Conegliano Veneto,a land of morainic origin and rich in clay that has always been suited to the cultivation of vines and that gives the wines delicate scents and particularly strong aromas. The adventure begins in 1973 when Mr. Marchesin Vito decides to produce local wines involving the whole family and especially his son Leonardo who since childhood accompanies him in the vineyard,breathing the atmosphere and learning the secrets of a fascinating job,starting that growth that will make Leonardo become a winemaker and since 1995 he takes over the reins of the company that now owns 25 hectares of land and produces 150.000 bottles a year.The variety mostly cultivated is Glera, this is CONEGLIANO-VALDOBBIADENE PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG. The minor indigenous varieties are Marzemino and Verdiso, while the rest are Merlot,Cabernet, Chardonnay.
