— Conegliano Valdobbiadene

Who we are

The Consortium is a private body created in the public interest and it groups together all of the categories of producers: vine-growers, winemaking companies and bottlers.
There are three areas in which its work is concentrated:

District’s Research Centre

The Conegliano Valdobbiadene region was recognized in 2003 as Italy’s First Sparkling Wine District. In the same year, thanks to collaboration between the Producers’ Consortium and the Economic Observatory of the Interdepartmental Centre for Research in Viticulture and Oenology (C.I.R.V.E.) of Padua University, based in Conegliano, the District’s Research Centre was created: this seeks to improve knowledge of the marketplace, study competitive scenarios and provide producers with an instrument for making their strategies more effective. Every year the Research Centre draws up a Report on trends regarding the District, research for which is carried out in cooperation with the producers.
