Val d’Oca, a brand synonymous with excellence in the world of Prosecco, takes its name from a hillside planted with Glera, the white grape variety used to produce Prosecco.
A handful of houses, scattered along a winding zigzag road that runs beside a small grove of trees, create a striking landscape in the Treviso Prealps, in the hilly area between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, protected since 2019 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The history of Val d’Oca is deeply rooted in that of the Cantina Produttori di Valdobbiadene, founded in 1952 thanks to the initiative of 129 farmers in post-war Italy. These pioneers, driven by the desire to rebuild both their land and their community, laid the foundations of a cooperative that over the years has become a benchmark of excellence and innovation in the wine sector.
This project is the result of a collective endeavor, built on a dialogue centered on viticulture, on people, and on the land. We have been an innovative winery since the very beginning, embodying a balance between respect for tradition, a culture of design and planning, and the ability to anticipate the times, producing wines that are both classic and contemporary. They are born from the passion of a group of families for vine growing, from their love for the landscape, and from their desire to share these values.
Val d’Oca wines enhance the expressions of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area, including the lands known as the cru of Cartizze and the Rive, where the grapes come from steep vineyards that require long and demanding manual work (around 800 hours per hectare per year). Here, at the highest level of quality and artisanal dedication, the grapes achieve an even higher recognized quality, which is why these areas are indicated on the label as a specific geographical unit.
