Col San Martino stands at the centre of this hilly place with its vineyards and farmhouses whose roofs blend in with the colour of the soil. Flourishing chestnut woods on the north side of the valleys bear witness to a time when the natural landscape was uncontaminated. In 1978 Bruno and Marinella wrote the first chapter of our story in this place. They started with the one vineyard they owned at the time: the Mongarda vineyard. The estate grew and so did their family. In later years their son Martino brought new energy and knowledge to the business. We believe that things must be balanced in everything we do. We do not use herbicides or chemical fertiliser on our vines. Green manure and our own compost are the essential instruments we use to maintain the fertility of our soil. Work in the winery is limited and each operation is the result of pondered thought because there is not just one recipe; our experience over the years is applied. The grapes from different vineyards give us unique territorial expressions. We try to exalt them by understanding the right vocation. The total production is about 30 thousand bottles: Brut, Extra Dry with the Martinotti method in autoclave and also refermentation in the bottle. A sparkling classic zero-dosage method only comes up with the most significant vintages.
