When we talk about Valdobbiadene DOCG it is really difficult to express in words the beauty of the hills and steep slopes where the Glera, autochthonous grape, has found the ideal environment to best express its unmistakable peculiarities. The winery Le Bertole, founded on the tradition of popular wine culture, owes its name to the first vineyard owned, so named in the historical cadastral maps, which was acquired in the Cartizze area in 1930, in the heart of the DOCG. Founded in 1997 by Gianfranco Bortolin and his wife Viviana, heirs of history and passion of 3 generations, the company Le Bertole, now has 18 hectares of property and tirelessly follows the entire production process of its own Valdobbiadene DOCG: starting from the heroic vineyards, strictly carried out by hand, to arrive at the winery, where the grapes are vinified and the wine is sparkling made with the Martinotti method, to conclude with the bottling and the sale of sparkling wines. The dedication that binds this family to the culture of wine means that even the 4th generation with Davide Bortolin carries out a philosophy of innovation and continuity in the company, combining tradition with passion for the hills of Valdobbiadene, Unesco World Heritage Site since 2019. In a territory where the link with nature is increasingly important and delicate, Le Bertole has adopted sustainable and environmentally friendly agronomic practices, in order to safeguard its hills and obtain a final product with low impact on the surrounding ecosystem.
