Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. raises its glass to the emotions that cinema creates
The Consortium of Producers of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco D.O.C.G. will be a sponsor of the 81st Venice International Film Festival. Its wines will be the official sparklers with which to celebrate the emotions of cinema.
The Consorzio di Tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG is a supporter of the 81st Venice International Film Festival and the following two editions.
Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG will be the official sparkling wine for the various convivial moments throughout the entire festival. In particular, it will be offered as a welcome aperitif to the celebrities attending the opening and closing gala dinners, where bottles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, customized with labels designed specifically for the occasion, will be presented.
There will be numerous opportunities for guests and stars to taste Prosecco Superiore DOCG at various times of the day and in the most iconic locations of the festival. It will be available at the Palazzo del Cinema and in the restaurants of Terrazza Biennale and Palazzo del Casinò, both of which are managed by Chef Tino Vettorello. Thanks to the collaboration with Tino Vettorello, various labels of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG can be tasted at events organized in his spaces, from the festival’s opening to September 7. The glasses will be paired with dishes specially created for the occasion. The featured labels will include Bival, Bortolomiol, Colli del Soligo, Mionetto, Ruggeri, Terre del Cima, Val d’Oca, Valdo, and Villa Sandi.
“Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is an undisputed symbol of Made in Italy,” says Franco Adami, President of the Consorzio di Tutela. “It has become so thanks to the commitment of generations of winemakers who have tirelessly worked our slopes, even the steepest ones, shaping a landscape of exceptional beauty, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, and have brought the same passion into the cellar to create a unique product. Just like a film, a glass of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore is the result of artisanal craftsmanship, the work of skilled experts capable of conveying extraordinary emotions through their work. Our collaboration with La Biennale di Venezia allows us to bring the name and bubbles of Conegliano Valdobbiadene to a broad and prestigious audience in Italy and worldwide. The presence of our product in such high-profile cultural contexts helps solidify the positioning that our bubbles, produced in challenging and heroic terrains like the Rive of Conegliano Valdobbiadene, deserve.”
“Riprese collinari” (Hill Shoots) is the concept behind the 2024 label, created by mimicocodesign+DeRiva, which adorns all bottles during the festival. Two “humanized” cameras wander through the vineyards and, like silent and attentive observers, capture the magic of the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene Prosecco Hills, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and share it with the world.
During the festival, the Consorzio di Tutela’s support will be further promoted through the return of the advertising campaign featuring actor Giorgio Pasotti, who will be the Consorzio’s guest at the festival’s opening ceremony.
“Emotions are the common thread between my work and the territory of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG,” says Giorgio Pasotti. “On these hills, winemakers have worked for centuries with great consistency of thought and unity of purpose. They have achieved the fruit of this labor, starting with the care of the land and passing through a long series of historical and cultural elements. Behind all this is the strength of a community that over the years has been able to build a project that ultimately reaches the hearts and palates. And, just like the actor’s craft, it ends up evoking emotions. Interestingly, this connection also has an anecdote from long ago: my very first debut in the world of cinema happened right here, in Vittorio Veneto, which was chosen, along with other Venetian locations, as the set for Daniele Luchetti’s 1997 film I piccoli maestri, based on the novel of the same name by Luigi Meneghello.”
The campaign will air from August 25 to October 5 on the main RAI networks, on Rai Play, and in the Rai Cinema circuit. It will also be broadcast on radio stations from the GEDI Group, such as Radio DeeJay, Radio Capital, and Radio m2o, and on the One Podcast circuit.
Finally, Giorgio Pasotti will lend his image to the Consorzio’s digital project Ciak si gira, per Venezia, a lively digital story about how the bubbles from the Conegliano Valdobbiadene hills evoke and capture the emotions of anyone who chooses them for a toast. Alongside Giorgio Pasotti, the bustling Venetian streets and its inhabitants will also play a starring role.
