Located in Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the Prosecco hills, Le Colture is both a farm and a wine company that has been run by the same family since 1500. In 1983 the Ruggeri’s started the production of sparkling wine and Cesare, together with his sons Alberto, Silvia and Veronica, is nowadays the depositary of an extraordinary heritage made up of experience as well as big and small productive secrets, starting from the deep knowledge of the territory and its grapes to the profound sensitivity for the health of the vineyards. The company produces about 750,000 bottles of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG per year, spread over about 40 hectares totally owned partly located in Valdobbiadene hills, partly between Vidor, Solighetto, Refrontolo and Conegliano, where Le Colture produces several sparkling wines, including Superiore di Cartizze and the Rive of Santo Stefano. Le Colture wines can be found in the best wine bars and restaurants in Italy, as well as in several foreign countries. The company sells wines directly to the public, is also possible to arrange, by appointment, visits to the winery and the vineyards and tastings. The Ruggeri family also own a nice and pleasant agriturismo called Prime Gemme based in Nervesa della Battaglia between the river Piave and the Montello, where guests can find accommodation and breakfast.
